This course will provide you with an overview of the Licensees (Capital Adequacy) Rules 2010 (the Capital Adequacy Rules) in reference to investment business and is particularly targeted at those in the Guernsey fiduciary sector working with, administering or acting as general partners, investment managers and designated managers.
The course will cover the following:
- Who do the Capital Adequacy Rules apply to?
- Capital Adequacy rules for General Partners, Investment Managers & Designated Managers
- The calculation of Capital Adequacy
- Impact of having no physical presence in Guernsey
- Liquidity Resourcing Requirements and Financial Resources Reporting Requirements
- Notifications to the GFSC
- Problem solving workshop
All entities licensed under the Protection of Investors (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1987, as amended, to conduct investment business are required to comply with, inter alia, the Capital Adequacy Rules.This course will provide practical worked examples on how to calculate capital adequacy in accordance with the Capital Adequacy Rules.
On completion of the course you will be able to calculate capital adequacy in accordance with the Guernsey Capital Adequacy Rules.
